The City is working to implement a new licensing & permitting platform for individual & company contractors. The new process will be 100% online. It'll allow individuals to apply, renew, & pay for licenses from home and/or work. The platform will streamline the application process, provide updates, and allow individuals to talk directly with staff. More info will be announced at a later date.
The Contractor Licensing Board hereby provides notice of its intent to amend its rules and regulations. The purpose of the amendments is to effectuate the Governing Body's intent under Ordinance #4592 (Nov. 16, 2024) and regulate Hood System/Fire Extinguisher and Hose Equipment professionals under the authority of the Board. Additional changes are proposed because currently the rules only require the companies doing the work to be licensed by the City and do not contemplate the licensure of the professionals doing the work. This permits potentially unqualified individuals to practice in the affected work areas which could detrimentally affect public health and safety.
Interested persons may present their views on the proposed rulemaking, in writing, to the Contractor Licensing Board, Attn: Antony Pomerleau, at 2101 O'Neil Ave. Rm 202, Cheyenne, WY 82001, no later than forty-five (45) days following date of this notice. A public hearing will be set following the 45-day period if requested by 25 or more persons, a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members. The proposed amended Rules and Regulations are available for review at the Office of the City Clerk and on the City of Cheyenne’s website - https://www.cheyennecity.org/Your-Government/Boards-Commissions/Contractor-Licensing-Board.(PDF, 1MB)
