Included in the Operations Division are Cheyenne Fire & Rescue's "Special Operations Teams".
Hazardous Materials Response Team
The Hazardous Materials Response Team, currently made up of twenty (20) members, responds to all hazardous materials calls within the City limits. The team also acts as Regional Response Team #7 for the State of Wyoming. As Response Team #7, the team responds, on request and activation from State Homeland Security, to assist in hazardous materials calls in Laramie, Platte, and Goshen Counties.
Technical Rescue Team
The Technical Rescue Team, consisting of twelve (12) members, is activated and responds to calls involving confined-space rescue, high and low-angle rescue, collapse rescue and trench rescue.
