The City of Cheyenne will host a community workshop next week to receive feedback and input on the City’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The workshop will be Monday, June 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Kiwanis Community House, 4603 Lions Park Drive. The event will begin with an open house, followed by a presentation and keypad polling activity at 5:45 p.m. and a mapping exercise around 6:30 p.m.

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will guide the city’s efforts in parks, open space, recreational amenities, and trails, including the Greenway, over the next 10 years. Feedback received during this process will help ensure the final plan aligns with the community’s values and goals and will be incorporated into the plan’s vision for future improvements.

In addition to the workshop, City staff will also be unveiling a plan for nearly 2.4 miles of new Greenway to connect the Sun Valley Greenway to Kiwanis Park. Attendees will be able to see the planned route and provide their thoughts on the three segments that make up the 2.4 miles, including which segment should be funded first.
