City flags at City of Cheyenne facilities will fly at half staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, March 14, in memory of former Councilman Floyd Lopez.
Lopez served on Cheyenne City Council from 2001-2005. He passed away on March 6.
Mayor Patrick Collins and Councilman Tom Segrave served on City Council alongside Lopez.
“Floyd was such a gentleman who truly cared about his constituents,” Mayor Collins said. “He was a great person and will be very missed.”
“Floyd Lopez was a friend who cared deeply about Cheyenne,” Councilman Segrave said. “Floyd was always thoughtful as he considered the many issues that came before the Council. Floyd enjoyed the many improvements he helped create, especially in Downtown but throughout Ward I. Floyd will be missed by all.”
