City announces trash and recycle schedule for Columbus Day

The City of Cheyenne has announced the trash, recycle, and yard waste pick-up schedule for Columbus Day on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024.

Scheduled trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up that day will instead take place on Saturday, Oct. 12. Containers should be placed out by 6 a.m.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station and the Happy Jack Landfill (1416 Happy Jack Road) will be closed Monday, Oct. 14, and reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Household Hazardous Waste (220 N. College Drive) and the Compost Facility (3714 Windmill Road) will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14-15, and reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The Sanitation Division Office will be available by phone or appointment only on Oct. 14.

The Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) and other City offices will remain open on Columbus Day.
