City announces sanitation and facility schedule for Presidents’ Day

Several City facilities and offices will have modified schedules for the Presidents’ Day holiday:

City Offices

City offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 19.

 

City Council

Due to Presidents’ Day falling on a Monday, Cheyenne City Council’s Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 12 p.m., and the Public Services Committee will meet Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 12 p.m. For more information, visit www.cheyennecity.org/minutesandagendas.

 

Sanitation/Trash and Recycle Schedule

Residents who would typically have trash and recycle pickup on Monday, Feb. 19, will instead have pickup on Saturday, Feb. 17. Please have containers out by 6 a.m.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station (220 N. College Drive) and Happy Jack Landfill will be closed Monday, Feb. 19.

The Compost Facility (3714 Windmill Road) and Household Hazardous Waste (220 N. College Drive) will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, and Tuesday, Feb. 20.

The Sanitation Division office will be closed in line with other City offices.

 

Cheyenne Transit Program

Cheyenne Transit Program offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 19. Buses will not run.

 

Cheyenne Botanic Gardens

The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the Paul Smith Childrens’ Village is closed Monday, Feb. 19, as part of its regular schedule.

 

Cheyenne Aquatic Center

The Cheyenne Aquatic Center will be open. Patrons should check with Aquatic Center website (www.cheyenneaquatics.com) for open swim times.

 

Cheyenne Ice & Events Center

The Cheyenne Ice and Events Center will be open. Patrons should check the Ice and Events Center website (www.cheyenneiceandevents.com) for public skating and other scheduled events.
