All City offices including the Transit Program will be closed Monday, November 11, 2024 for Veterans Day.
The City is working to implement a new licensing & permitting platform for individual & company contractors. The new process will be 100% online. It'll allow individuals to apply, renew, & pay for licenses from home and/or work. The platform will streamline the application process, provide updates, and allow individuals to talk directly with staff. More info will be announced at a later date.
Trash & recycle pick-up scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11th, will instead be picked up on Saturday, November 9th. Receptacles should be out by 6:00 a.m. See the below link for Sanitation closure information.

CHEYENNE – At the November 22nd regular meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Cheyenne, the fiscal year 2019 program that allowed waivers of permit fees within the Core Development Incentivization Program Area was reinstated. The reinstated program is effective Saturday, November 27th.
The program area allows for permit fee waivers for properties generally located within 26th Street to the north, Interstate 80 to the south, Missile Drive/Ames Avenue to the west, and Warren Avenue to the east surrounding downtown. A map of the Core Development Incentivization Program Area can be found here: https://bit.ly/3DOIPZW. Up to $5,000 in building permit fees per project shall be eligible for the fee waiver. The reimbursement program will be managed by the Planning and Development Department and applications for building permit fee reimbursement can be found at www.cheyennecity.org/PlanningApplications and will expire on June 30th, 2025.
In the 2019 fiscal year, $31,654.87 was waived for 31 projects with an average refund of $1,021.12.
