The Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization will host a neighborhood meeting next week to seek input from residents and businesses about future upgrades to East Allison Road from South Greeley Highway to North College Drive.

The open house meeting will be Tuesday, May 14, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1317 Avenue C.

The meeting is part of the MPO’s East Allison Road Corridor Study, which will develop improvements to East Allison. The project breaks East Allison into three sections – South Greeley Highway to Avenue C, Avenue C to the Niobrara Energy Park, and East Allison through the Niobrara Energy Park.

“The corridor study is being conducted to right size the road with feedback from property owners about topics including parking, sidewalks, drainage improvements, and driveway access,” said Cheyenne MPO Director Jeff Noffsinger.

Future plans call for connecting the two existing sections of East Allison Road between Avenue C and the Niobrara Energy Park, but funding has not yet been identified for that project.

A survey is also available for the community to provide comments about the project.

Following the May 14 meeting and the survey, the MPO will hold a second neighborhood meeting later this summer to present its recommendations and plans for East Allison Road.
