Cheyenne Gymnastics brings home wins from 2025 state championships

The Cheyenne Gymnastics team excelled at the 2025 Wyoming Gymnastics State Championships, held March 14-15, 2025, in Gillette.
Cheyenne Gymnastics was well-represented with 51 athletes spanning five competitive levels in the Xcel Program: 18 in Xcel Bronze, 17 in Xcel Silver, 10 in Xcel Gold, 4 in Xcel Platinum, and 2 in Xcel Diamond. The championships overall saw a remarkable 419 gymnasts from 14 teams across the state competing.
Cheyenne Gymnastics achieved exceptional results with its gymnasts earning a total of 75 first place individual state champion titles and four first place team titles.
To be eligible for a team first place state champion trophy, at least three gymnasts from the same level must compete, and Cheyenne’s athletes met that and brought home four team trophies to add to their collection in Xcel Bronze, Xcel Silver, Xcel Gold, and Xcel Platinum.
Notable performances included:
Xcel Bronze: In the Junior A age group, Zeplynn Howe secured first place on the Balance Beam. Gymnasts in the Junior C age group had a strong showing with Charleigh Anderson winning first in Uneven Bars and Floor, while Hadley Waldo secured first in Vault, Balance Beam, and All Around. In the Junior D age group, Grace Wardle won first on Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor, and All Around. Haley Burson competed in the Senior A age group and earned first in Vault, Uneven Bars, and Balance Beam. In the Senior C age group, Keyarah Edwards won first on Uneven Bars while Kensley Lenhardt took home first in Vault, Balance Beam, Floor, and All Around. Finishing out the Xcel Bronze in the Senior D age group, Ella Weliever finished first on Balance Beam, Addisyn Niles secured first on Vault and Floor, and Emma Berreth won first in Uneven Bars and All Around.
Xcel Silver: Eden Robinson started strong in the Junior A age group, earning first on Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and All Around. In the Junior B age group, Taya Thompson won first place on Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor, and All Around. Xyliah Pulsipher took first on Floor and Meadow Walduck secured first in Vault, and All Around for the Junior C age group. For the Junior D age group, Annabelle Slovensky won first place in Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and All Around. In the Senior A age group, Delilah Messenger earned first in Balance Beam, while Reese Gray secured first in Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor, and All Around. In the Senior B age group, Payton Hoard dominated, winning first on Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor, and All Around. In the final age group, Senior C, Camryn Aragon took home first on Vault, Kaleia Kling won first on Floor, and Calgarie Land secured first on Uneven Bars and All Around.
Xcel Gold: Kinley Mikowski triumphed in her Junior A group, taking first on Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor, and All Around. In the Junior C age group, Kimber Allen won first on Balance Beam while Michayla Maxey secured first place finishes on Vault, Floor, and All Around. Kaylee Reffler took home first on Uneven Bars, Floor, and All Around in the Senior B age group. In the oldest age group, Senior C, Lola Hickox won first on Floor and Jadyn Martin earned first on Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and All Around.
Xcel Platinum: In the Junior A age group, Zoey Salas earned first on Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and All Around, while D'Saitrya Woody won first on Vault. Aviah Edwards added to the gold medal count by finishing first on Balance Beam, Floor, and All Around in the Junior B age group.
Xcel Diamond: In the Senior A group, Tasarra Robinson claimed first on Vault, Floor, and All Around.

Cheyenne Gymnastics has earned significant recognition for its dominance in the USA Gymnastics Xcel Program over the past few years. The Xcel Bronze and Silver teams have been the defending State Champions since 2021. The Xcel Gold team claimed its defending State Champion status in 2023. The Xcel Platinum and Diamond teams have earned first place State Champion titles every year they have been eligible to compete as a team, cementing Cheyenne Gymnastics’ place as the top team in Wyoming to beat.
Regional Championship Qualifications: Every gymnast in the Xcel Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels from Cheyenne Gymnastics has earned a spot to compete against the best gymnasts at the upcoming USA Gymnastics Region 3 Regional Championships. Region 3 consists of Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas.
- Xcel Gold gymnasts will compete in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on May 2-4, 2025. The athletes advancing include Kimber Allen, Lola Hickox, Madisyn Macy, Jadyn Martin, Michayla Maxey, Kinley Mikowski, Raechel Newsom, Kaylee Reffler, Brielle Scholl, and Avery Womack.
- Xcel Platinum and Xcel Diamond gymnasts will compete in San Antonio, Texas, on May 9-11, 2025. Xcel Platinum advancing gymnasts include Ayla Crystal, Aviah Edwards, Zoey Salas, D'Saitrya Woody. Bridget Dillow and Tasarra Robinson will represent Cheyenne Gymnastics in the Xcel Diamond category.
