All City offices including the Transit Program will be closed Tuesday, December 31st at Noon and Wednesday, January 1st for the New Year's Day Holiday.
Trash & recycle pick-up scheduled for Wednesday, January 1st, will instead be picked up on Saturday, January 4th. Trash & recycle pick-up scheduled for Tuesday, December 31st, will remain as scheduled. Receptacles should be out by 6:00 a.m.
The City is working to implement a new licensing & permitting platform for individual & company contractors. The new process will be 100% online. It'll allow individuals to apply, renew, & pay for licenses from home and/or work. The platform will streamline the application process, provide updates, and allow individuals to talk directly with staff. More info will be announced at a later date.

The application period for City of Cheyenne municipal election candidates will open Thursday, May 16, and close Friday, May 31.
This election year, six City Council seats (two from each ward) and the office of Mayor will be filled. All municipal offices are for four-year terms and are nonpartisan.
Applications must be submitted in-person at the City Clerk’s office located in Room 101 of the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) during normal business hours. Applications will not be accepted once the filing period closes.

The City Clerk is the Municipal Elections Officer and assists municipal candidates with the filing of nomination papers. Municipal elections are conducted through the Laramie County Clerk Elections Office. Voter registration is through the County Clerk Elections Office and polling place information can be accessed on their website at https://www.laramiecountywy.gov/County-Government/Elected-Officials/County-Clerk/Elections.
Primary election day will take place Tuesday, Aug. 20, with the general election day on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
