PlanCheyenne
Overview
PlanCheyenne, the flagship project of the City Planning Department, the MPO and the County Planning Department has been shaping our community’s future for over a year now.  The plan encompasses our citizens' vision of the future, integrating a land use plan, transportation plan, and parks and recreation plan. 

This comprehensive plan provides guidance on how our community should grow and develop.  During 2007, this plan helped to shape many development projects, and resulted in the adoption of the Large Commercial Design Standards. 

In 2008, we’re looking to implement more ideas from PlanCheyenne by updating our community’s zoning and development codes.  The approach envisioned will help to streamline our approval processes and clarify our existing regulations with the addition of graphics and illustrations. 

One key element to implementing the plan is to make mixed-use development legal and encouraged under our regulations.  We’ll be considering incentives, bonuses, and regulations to help make Cheyenne’s vision a reality.
