Why has the graffiti I reported not been painted over?

Answer:  The Police Department has not been given permission by the property owner to paint over the graffiti or the surface requires a treatment that the Police Department cannot provide. 

What is expected time frame to paint over graffiti?

Answer:  The Police Department will not complete the job until the owner has given permission.  The job is then scheduled when volunteers are available to complete the task and when there are several jobs to be completed with the same color of paint. 

What color of paint is used to paint over graffiti?

Answer:  The Police Department only has several basic colors, but it may add more colors with future funding.  The paint is not color matched. 

How is the Graffiti Abatement Unit funded?

Answer:  The Unit has been funded through a grant from the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police and Lowe’s Home Improvement.  Police employees and volunteers donate their time to complete the program.  Contact the Police Department if you wish to donate time or resources to the program.
