If you are just satisfying your curiosity and you don’t have a legal description of the land in question, one approach is to start at the Laramie County Assessor’s Office with as much information about the parcel’s location [street address, street or highway frontage with nearby intersection, etc] as you can gather. You should emerge from the Assessor’s Office with the current taxpayer of record [which is not necessarily the owner] and a legal description of the parcel. This information may be dated. Next go to the Real Estate Office of the Laramie County Clerk with the legal description in hand to see if there have been any changes in the parcel’s ownership since the date the Assessor’s information was last updated. If there are financial or other serious consequences riding on the answer to your question, use the services of the professions listed in Question 1.
