The Geographic Information System (GIS) department supports the City of Cheyenne and its citizens through the application of GIS technologies. These technologies allow any type of spatial (location driven) information to be stored, displayed, analyzed and reproduced.
It is the goal of the GIS department to support the City of Cheyenne in their use of GIS by providing quality maps, performing spatial analysis, developing GIS applications, and creating/maintaining spatial data. These technologies are used in the areas of policy development, decision making support, supporting operations and in providing access to geographic information.
