New sod or seed
|Soil is the foundation for your lawn and gardens. Everything you plant and grow depends on the soil that supports them.
Preparing the soil prior to installing landscaping promotes a healthier landscape and uses less water. An ideal soil for landscapes is composed of 45 percent minerals (clay, silt and sand), 5 percent organic matter and 25 percent each of water and air.
To achieve this, most soils in Cheyenne will need additional organic matter and will need to be tilled to lessen compaction and mix the organic material into the soil.
